Britten Sinfonia
These New Puritans will be joined onstage for the Barbcian show by a 20-strong ensemble from the Britten Sinfonia, a chamber orchestra who have carved out their own prestigious reputation as an artistically open-minded and technically exemplary ensemble. Formed in 1992, recent collaborations have seen projects with Thomas Adés, Ian Bostridge and Michael Clark Company.
André de Ridder
André de Ridder is one of the most fascinating conductors emerging today. As well as being Principal Conductor of the UK-based Sinfonia ViVA, he is a regular guest with such orchestras as the Philharmonia, Scottish Chamber, BBC Symphony, BBC Philharmonic and Britten Sinfonia. In 2007-2008 he led premiere performances of Damon Albarn's Monkey: Journey to the West. Other less traditional projects include the performance of a Concerto for Beatbox and Orchestra by Anna Meredith, a Moondog Tribute with the Britten Sinfonia and a live performance of the 2001: Space Oddyssey soundtrack to a screening of the film at the Barbican.
In Germany, he has worked with the NDR Radiophilharmonie Hannover, the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Kammerakademie Potsdam, Ensemble Oriol, Ensemble Resonanz and with the orchestra of the Komische Oper.
Graham Sutton
Graham Sutton is an English musician, songwriter and producer. He is best known as the leader of seminal post-rock band Bark Psychosis. He has since produced albums for the likes of Jarvis Cocker, British Sea Power and These New Puritans, as well solo drum and bass project Boymerang (remixing Metallica, Goldie etc.) He will be working on Hidden Live as a consultant.
New London Children's Choir
New London Children's Choir have worked with, amongst others, John Adams, Lou Reed, Michael Nyman, as well as having sung on Hidden. They will be performing at the Barbican show.
These New Puritans
These New Puritans are a band from the Thames Estuary, consisting of twin brothers Jack and George Barnett, Thomas Hein and Sophie Sleigh-Johnson (who will be rejoining the group for Hidden Live.)
